John was raised in Scotia with his brother Nathan, sisters Johanna and Katie by their parents Hank and Mary Lockwood. A graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School, John has a Bachelor of Science from Salve Regina University and a Law Degree from Roger Williams University School of Law. John is currently the Albany Regional Director for the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, having previously served as the agency's Special Counsel. John also worked as the Chief Prosecutor for Child Abuse and Neglect cases in Schenectady County. John served as Village Trustee from 2013 through 2016, and has volunteered as an attorney coach with the NYS Bar Association’s High School Mock Trial Program, coaching them to a state championship in 2011. John is a board member with the Joan Nicole Prince Home, and was named Young Lawyer of the Year in 2012 by the Schenectady County Bar Association.
Justin was raised in Troy, NY and moved to the Village of Scotia 10 years ago after he married his wife Stephanie at her families church in the Village. A graduate of SUNY Schenectady, Justin has a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the acclaimed Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ. Justin is currently the Marketing & Publications Manager at the Empire State Youth Orchestra, having previously served as Marketing & Patron Services Manager at the Albany Symphony. After College Justin held temporary positions at the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the American Cancer Society and also worked as the Student Activities Advisor at SUNY Schenectady, where he served as the co-advisor to the Student Government Association. In 2009, Justin served as an AmeriCorp VISTA volunteer at the Hamilton Hill Arts Center and continues to volunteer as a mentor with DeMolay International, a character and youth leadership program. Justin is Vice President of the Freedom Park Foundation in Scotia and served as an event leader for the Relay for Life of Schenectady County in Collins Park from 2012-2019. Justin currently lives a few steps from Collins Park with his wife Stephanie, daughter Chloe and two rescue cats Mystic and Gracie.
George Solotruck is a current Scotia Trustee and lives in the Village with his wife Lisa and their three
boys Keller, Crosby and Miles. He attended Ballston Spa Central Schools, SUNY Cobleskill, and has
worked in the Communication Infrastructure Industry for 30 years.
George is active in our community, volunteering with the Scotia- Glenville Little League from 2012-2018,
and serving as the current coordinator of the Village of Scotia Community Garden at the Flint House.
George is committed to Scotia and pledges to bring fresh ideas that will control taxes, improve our
quality of life, and maintain the unique character of the Village.
