Elect Keith Brown for Scotia Village Trustee

Keith Brown, MPH has been serving the residents of the Village of Scotia as Trustee

since 2022. Prior to that, Keith was a member of the Village Zoning Board of Appeals.

His background in public health, nonprofit, and public policy leadership, combined with

a dedication to serve the community where he and his family live have led Keith to this role.

While serving on the Village Board, Keith has worked hard to ensure that Village

residents retain the high quality services they value and improve service delivery. As fire

liaison, Keith assisted with labor negotiations and worked to successfully ensure that

Phase 1 of the Municipal Project came in under budget. He has continually held the line

on spending that is outside of the core services and infrastructure necessary for the

Village and its residents. As liaison to Special Events, Keith worked to implement a new

set of guidelines that make it easier for groups in the community to successfully plan

and hold events while addressing long-standing issues of fiscal management and

standardization.

He holds a Master’s in Public Health from SUNY Albany as well as a BA in

Community Mental Health from SUNY Buffalo and is also a member of the Alpha Gamma

Chapter of the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health.

Elect Keith Brown for Scotia Village Trustee

Judge Michael Boyle is the current Judge of the Village of Scotia Village Court having served in this capacity since being elected in 2022. Previously, he served as the Associate Village Justice of the Scotia Village Court beginning in December, 2018.

Judge Boyle is a Schenectady County native, and has lived in Scotia-Glenville since graduating from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law in 2013. He completed his undergraduate degree, double majoring in Communications and Philosophy, at Loyola University Maryland in 2009. He graduated from Christian Brothers Academy in 2005.

He has a distinct passion for the law and believes in equal and fair access to justice for all. His extensive experience as a litigator and jurist provides him with the necessary qualifications, skills, and demeanor to continue to excel as the Village's Justice and to decide cases before him fairly and consistently with the law.

Judge Boyle is an attorney in private practice and has presented hundreds of cases across State and Federal Courts. He is the President of the Capital Region Bankruptcy Bar Association and current Secretary of the Schenectady County Bar Association.

Judge Boyle is running for re-election in order to continue his public service to the Village of Scotia by providing fair, unbiased and reasoned decisions in order to maintain justice to all who appear in the Scotia Village Court.
